Go Paperless to Help Avoid Mail Delays

A couple of weeks ago, I was checking my mailbox for an important letter I’d been expecting. But day after day, the letter I was expecting never arrived. More than a week after the day I thought the letter would arrive, it finally showed up in my mailbox – long overdue.

I've also heard from some customers who haven't received their BTES bill on time, or at all. So, between my own experience and what I have heard from you all, I decided to do a little digging. According to a recent press release on the USPS website, the Postal Service is working to save at least $36 billion over the next decade by reducing transportation, consolidating processing facilities, and cutting other costs including real estate, and some of these changes have impacted mail delivery times.

We know how frustrating it is when your bill shows up late – or doesn’t show up at all. That’s why we want to make sure you get the information you need as quickly as possible. And that’s where E-Bill comes in.

When you sign up for E-Bill, a link to view your BTES bill gets sent directly to the email address you provide. It looks like the paper version and arrives in your email inbox the day the bill is created. Plus, it’s one less thing piling up on your kitchen counter (many of you probably know what I’m talking about).

    • We’ll send you a heads-up when your bill is ready, when it’s due, and when we receive your payment.
  • View Your Bill Online
    • Log in anytime to see your current bill, make a payment, or review past statements.

    • Want to “set it and forget it”? Sign up for Bank Draft and your payment will come straight out of your bank account on the due date.
  • 24/7 Automated Account Manager
    • Prefer the phone? Call 423-968-1526 anytime, day or night, to hear your balance, due date, and more.
